There are two widely recognized and accepted ways to gauge the probable future of the s on the stock exchange.

• 1. The Fundamental Approach
• 2. The Technical Approach

Both approaches have the common goal of anticipating future price of the share, commodity or index so as to benefit from that analysis.

• 1. THE FUNDAMENTAL APPROACH involves a study of corporate performance (such as earning per share (EPS), PE ratio, future earnings, information of the company, its directors, their credibility, the products, future of the products, information of the industry, national economy, world economy, budget, tax structure, psychological factors, money power, economic growth indicators, political scenario God’s Acts etc. The Fundamental approach mainly concerns itself with the causes of the price action.
• 2. TECHNICAL ANALYSIS is the organized and systematic study of a pictorial representation (chart) of the past price actions of a particular stock or average (index), with a view to ascertaining its expected future behaviour.

The Technical approach is based on the study of price action itself i.e. the effect of the sum of all the fundamental factors. It is built on the premise that all causes as mentioned above have already (effected) adjusted the price.
